I am thinking of joining the coast guard reserves and have a foreclosure on my credit report. Do you think I can still join the reserves with the foreclosure on my credit. Everything else is fine.

With bad credit and being unemployed I need a loan to pay off a small amount of debt and a tuition for a 6 month education course so I can put myself in a better employment situation. Where could I find such a bank or company that would help me. I’m not eligable for government help, I earned too much money last year. Please, any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

For the vast majority of us, the desire to have enough money to live comfortably is very high; can you imagine not having any monthly bills to pay? I would make sure that I paid off all my debts including the house and car and make sure there was money for my children's education. When all said and done, the monthly expenditure would be dramatically reduced to only grocery and utility bills. It sounds simple but real life is much more complicated and it is highly unlikely that the picture I just painted will actually come to pass.

There are some incredibly wealthy individuals, some dirt poor ones, and then there are all the rest of us. Perhaps arranging a personal debt consolidation loan you can relieve some of the financial strain you are now suffering.

We all grapple with basic life expenses and a couple of the more common ones are credit cards and college debts, well, at least these are the first ones that tend to smack us in the face down the road. I've had my share of bad credit card experiences, and I definitely did the whole student loan for college thing many years ago. By the time I left college, somehow I had managed to accumulate a debt of nearly 25,000 dollars and I hadn't even started work yet! Although I know what you're thinking; that it is the American way, well I do not think it has to be. But I have to say that I have met very few people that want to live their whole life worried about debt. On a personal level I just could not imagine paying this amount back the way I was now especially with the high interest rates I was being charged so it seemed that a personal debt consolidation loan was the right move to make.

Although my student loan interest rate was favourable, I knew that I could probably do better and especially where other loans were concerned. My research into a personal debt consolidation loan started mainly because of the credit cards which have interest rates way above any other type of loan, irrespective of what the base rate is. Luckily it only took about a week to find a personal debt consolidation loan that would deal with my situation and clear the debts. Suddenly I had one whopping lump some to pay these bills off and I couldn't wait to start receiving one monthly bill, as opposed to five separate ones and the interest rate was low and that is the key!

By taking your time, you can also find a personal debt consolidation loan that can put you in the clear financially. You will be able to clear off all those credit card bills completely. Of course, the success of this will depend on you destroying you credit cards once all your debts have been cleared!

Part of the problem with society these days is the amount of individuals that are living with credit card debt. The swipe and spend culture has created massive problems and people are now realising just how foolish they have been just spending indiscriminately. Once you have finally realized the mess you are in then it only remains to do something about it by sourcing some credit card debt relief.

The first thing to do before opting for financial help is to stop using the card all together because if this doesn't happen it will be almost impossible to devise a debt relief plan. Credit card debt relief is possible but it does rely on the person actually wanting to do something about the situation. The most frequent methods of debt consolidation are shown below.

The easiest method of debt consolidation is where the person still has a good credit rating and uses another credit card that has a low rate of interest where all the debts can be transferred to one card. Consolidation loans are becoming popular as all the debts can be replaced with just one amount which should be considerably easier to pay on a regular basis.

The only problem here is that the debtor must be determined enough to stick to the plan they have made until the end. While arranging a new low interest rate card or loan to consolidate debts is the easiest option to take, it is also only available if the person's credit rating is in tact.

If this avenue of credit card debt relief is not available then the next option is to look towards negotiation with the card issuer directly or through a company that specialises in debt relief. Normally, when these negotiations proceed approximately half the debt will need to be paid and the remainder to be written off by the creditors.

However, if this option fails then the only option left is to file for bankruptcy which will clear all the debts but this should never be viewed upon as the easiest or first option as there are negative aspects to consider. The debts may be clear but they will find it hard to get any form of credit for a long time and will have to rebuild their credit history from scratch although it does enable them to have a fresh start. Once your debts have been cleared, hopefully you will learn to be more responsible and not require debt relief from your credit cards ever again.

I currently have a website and I would like to sell my services on there. I would like to accept credit cards as payment. How do I incorporate this into my website. Who can I use to process my credit card payments?

We rent out the house and live in another state. We are concerned about what the mortgage company would be able to take from us other than the house if a foreclosure happens?
For example: bank accounts, paychecks, future annuity payments, or any thing else owned?
We are not financially able to continue making payments long term but are current with payments at this time. We have also tried selling but with no luck.
We are a married couple but only one of us on the deed, if this makes any difference.

Debt is a worrying problem for everyone involved just as it was when I was having financial problems. How many of you reading this can relate and know the full reaching effects it can have. Debt is also a slow process that can take place over a very long time period and not even be noticed until it is too late. It is surprising just how quickly a debt of 25,000 dollars accumulates but you sure can't ignore how much it costs to pay it back. My savior was a consumer debt consolidation loans but I know that if I had not found this method of paying the money back I would be in trouble right now.

This was the only type of loan I could raise because I was just useless with my own money even though I was earning relatively well. It is a common complaint in our consumer driven society where we are told to have things now and damn the consequences and I am someone who just followed along with it. At first it was only minor debt, which I could pay off at a later point.

Slowly over a long period these tiny amounts I kept promising to pay off, just kept growing. The next thing I knew I was getting regular calls from consumer debt consolidation loan companies. I don't know how they knew but almost every day some consolidation loan company or other wanted to arrange a loan to help me out of my financial predicament. You really have to be careful with consolidation loans and here is why.

You see, for every ethical company out there offering you a way out of debt, there are probably three or four out there that are only trying to rip you off. It is a fact that many of these consumer debt consolidation loan firms are little more than loan sharks. They use the ace card and mention low interest rates which is always a big attraction even though it probably isn't true. Finding a company that means what it says may at first seem impossible but they are out there and they can help.

You see what I didn't tell you was I actually had experience in the financial sector and had some prior knowledge about offering loans and credit. You may not have the previous experience I had, even though it did not stop my spending; but that doesn't mean you won't be able to source a consumer debt consolidation loan company like I did if you really want too. It has taken two years but I can honestly say, I am not clear yet but I am now on the road to financial recovery, finally.
