debt consolidation

It seems there is no such thing as free debt assistance. I would like to know if any agency can assist with consolidation or act as a mediator. Is this asking for too much for free?
My goal with this question is to find debt consolidation for someone like me who is poor, doesn’t own anything, has no collateral. Non-profit would be ok. Are there such places in Southern California?

Or are there other options I should be looking into? I am close to $60,000 in debt and make very little money. I hate to just pick a co. from an ad.

Bankruptcy is not an option available to me.

foreclosure

My best friend is letting her home go to foreclosure due to extenuating circumstances. She had water damage in April and the insurance company is going to pay her out this week on the damage ($6000). The repairs have not been completed and since she is letting the house go to foreclosure, she is contemplating getting the repairs done at all and pocketing the money. Are there repercussions for this? She is afraid of getting accused of insurance fraud. Should she do the minimal drywall work just to make it presentable? Will her claims impact her ability to get renter’s insurance for her new residence? Thank you for your help!

Hello, I am 25 … in 15 days.. and I am a Junior in college, Civil Engineering but my credit is bad. I have two power bills I havent paid but are a few years old, a huge phone bill and medical bill and a few paid over due statements. The medical and phone bill are almost seven years old and so soon I am hoping I can have them removed, but I am wondering if it makes a difference the account has switched between collection agencies? There was also an incident where my credit was mixed up with another girl with same name and birthday and should be sorted out now. I sort of just need someone to sort all this out for me and tell me how I can get the best possible score, and to begin raising my score. Any advice is soo appreciated. Thank you.
Where can I get all three credit reports free at once all together?

I know by incorporating you are excluding yourself from personal liability with the business. However, is there a minimum credit score required for a person to start a corporation? If there is, what is it, and additionally, if someone with capable credit starts a corporation, can someone with bad credit be named as a partner and or trustee that can utilize and control the financial aspects of the company along with the president of the co.?

My credit is poor but I have probably $80k in equity in my home. Will a bank refuse to approve a home equity loan because of bad credit?

I found someone was collecting money from me every month on my credit card and I never signed up for that. Is there some kind of phishing device that collects critical credit card data from your computer without your knowledge?

if you already have one loan, what if it’s differed due to disability? How does this work?
Can you apply for a student loan after debt consolidation?

At the time the first loan was taken out (it was for around 4,000 and it was to a school that was a scam, but they got away with itbecause they knew the ins and outs of pulling off their scam very well. . so I’m asking about applying for another loan / consolidation, not discussing the previous one.

I am exploring housing options for the near future, looking to buy my first house and willing to fix it up in order to sell in 3-5 years. I would be living in the house as I fixed it up as well. Is there any differences in buying foreclosed or pre-foreclosed houses vs. buying a realtor-listed house that’s for sale and making a low (but not too low) offer? Will it be worth my while to buy the listed house at a discount or should I go for a cheap foreclosure in order to get the best deal?
