If there is an annual fee, you have to pay it to keep the account open, or if you have signed up for some type of security feature or something they offer, you will have to pay for it. whether you actually charge stuff on the card or not.

if you dont use it and there is no balance then you do not have to pay nothing unless the card has an annual fee.

If you are being charged for just having the card, call the company and tell them to waive the yearly fee or you’ll take your business else where.
