The house is only 10k. So if I pay 10k cash, how fast can I do a home equity loan for that 10k? I need to make repairs as it is a foreclosure in poor condition. Can I do a refinance loan and get more than I even paid for it if it appraises higher than 10k, which it will? Thanks for any help

I own a few credit card company stocks and recently read that people are choosing to remain current on credit card payments above remaining current on their mortgage responsibilities. This got me to thinking…what exactly makes credit card companies more profitable? Would they rather see their customers paying responsibly, or would they rather have late payments so they can rack up fee income?

I am a first time buyer. I heard that this is a perfect time to buy a house because the market is low and there are a lot of foreclosure houses which will cost much more in a few years. Is it a good idea to buy a house now, to rent it and to sell it in a few years?

With the stock market not looking so good (depending what happens tmrw and the rest of the week) I was just wondering how do precious metals tend to do during a recession? Im talking about actual bullion not stocks in the precious metal industry.
