How do I find a house to rent when I have bad credit?

We recently got money to move. I’d like to find my family a three bedroom house with a yard, and would hope to not have to live in an apartment complex. But I have bad credit, I can get a co-signer but do they take that when renting houses? What should I do?

Bad credit is more of a problem when buying a house than when you are renting a house. Although some landlords require credit checks, many will just ask for a month’s extra deposit.
Some things to do:
1. Avoid being late paying your rent.
2. Try to pay off your debt, and establish good credit.

Yes get a co signer… or pay your debt and get a good credit.
