How to place a lean on duplex when other side in foreclosure?

The other side on my duplex is going under foreclosure and is no longer paying half of the master insurance. There is no condo association and I must keep the mater insurance up to date to not default on my mortgage. Can I put a lean on the house for the money that I am putting in for the other side?

Probably, but you should speak with a local real estate attorney – and you will probably need one if you wish to fil a lien anyway.
