If the house I rent is in foreclosure can legaly get out of lease without being penalized?

The home that I rent has just begun the process of foreclosure. Can I legaly get out of my lease before the house is taken or due I have to fullfill the lease. There has not been a date of sale set but it’s in the process.

Well I dont see any reason why not. If it is in forclosure then the owner/landloard is the one breaking the lease/contract. I think you should call the forclosure company because your landlord may have already been told about a move out date. You may have sherrifs show up to move you out if your not already gone..

the way i look at it is that your landlord broke the lease from his end if you check into it he may owe you for him breakin his end just as if you broke yours
