I want to get a credit card to purchase a laptop and to build credit. What is the best card I could get with the most benefits and best interest rates?

Whoa! Save the money and pay cash. If you really want to establish credit and are over 18, once you have the cash you can go ahead and apply for a credit card at your bank or credit union. They should have one with no annual fee. Buy your laptop with it, then pay the bill in full when it arrives.
Read what other people are saying about their credit card problems and you may realize that you don’t want to walk in their shoes.

Best credit card for students is no credit card at all. Get a debit card.

my advice to you is to get one card with no annual fee and a comptetitive intrest rate and use it only for things you need and try your best to pay it off the end of the month, infact make paying it off a goal for yourself, you will establish history and keep yourself debt free. of course only do this if you are responsible with money, if not then simply use cash, citibank has a few cards with good rewards and a realatively low rate.
